Thy Will Be Done

Thy will be done, were the words I heard as this song began to play during my workout several weeks ago.

I have heard these words countless times at different moments in my life.

I have even heard this song  play many times before, but never fully listened to the words.

It amazes me how when we are quiet and listen, the Lord speaks.

So I encourage you to listen to this song and let it penetrate your heart and know that when you  have those moments of doubt, the Lord will always speak, when we are willing to listen.

I’m so confused
I know I heard you loud and clear
So, I followed through
Somehow I ended up here
I don’t wanna think
I may never understand
That my broken heart is a part of your plan
When I try to pray
All I’ve got is hurt and these four words

Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will be done

I know you’re good
But this don’t feel good right now
And I know you think
Of things I could never think about
It’s hard to count it all joy
Distracted by the noise
Just trying to make sense
Of all your promises
Sometimes I gotta stop
Remember that you’re God
And I am not
So

Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Like a child on my knees all that comes to me is
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will

I know you see me
I know you hear me, Lord
Your plans are for me
Goodness you have in store
I know you hear me
I know you see me, Lord
Your plans are for me
Good news you have in store

So, thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Like a child on my knees all that comes to me is
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
Thy will be done
I know you see me
I know you hear me, Lord.

I am thankful that depsite my moments of uncertainty  and moments where I struggle to  find joy in the journey, I am daily reminded of the Lord’s faithfulness.

Thankful that when I listen, he speaks. When I pray, he hears. When I weep, he dries my tears. When I doubt he gives me peace,  When I have faith, I can move mountains. When I walk through the valley, he will never leave me. When I feel hopeless, he will restore that which was lost. When I trust, He will direct my path, and when I mourn, I know that Joy will come in the morning.

In your own moments of weakness, be reminded that God knows your heart.

Thy Will Be Done.

Thankful. Blessed. Holding Steadfast.Forever Faithful.
